Winston-Salem, NC – The Carolina Thunderbirds are happy to announce that Beau Walker will be returning for the 2019-20 season as a player/assistant coach. “I’m honored to not only come back and play for Carolina, but to also learn the ins and outs of coaching from Andre” Walker said. “He took me in last year and I was very grateful to be able to win the Federal League Championship with the Birds.” Last season Walker split time between the SPHL and FPHL, playing nine games with the Evansville Thunderbolts before arriving in Winston-Salem. Evening training sessions scheduled for July 22-23 and July 29-30 LEXINGTON, N.C. (July 26, 2019) – Hospice of Davidson County is looking for volunteers 16 years-old and up to join its team. Hospice of Davidson County is currently seeking patient-family and administrative volunteers which serve in a variety of roles ranging from providing companionship for patients and families at the  Henry Etta and Bruce Hinkle Hospice House, in their homes or at other facilities to greeting guests at the Hinkle Hospice House, serving meals, baking cakes, preparing mailings and more. The Salvation Army CiVIC Senior Center will hold a Dinner and Bingo Night Monday, June 10, from 6-8pm at the Senior Center at 2850 New Walkertown Road. Tickets are twenty dollars for the general public and fifteen dollars for Senior Center members. The price includes dinner and fifteen games of bingo.
