Winston-Salem Dash Statement Regarding 2020 Season

As a community and as a nation we are tackling an unprecedented situation. Sports leagues and organizations across the country have taken proactive steps to ensure the safety of fans, staff and players. We are in full support of the following measure that Minor League Baseball announced yesterday:

“In light of the current coronavirus outbreak, and after consultation with medical professionals and our partners at Major League Baseball, Minor League Baseball will delay the start of the 2020 Championship Season. We will continue to monitor the developments and will announce additional information about the 2020 season at a later date. We will work with Major League Baseball and our community partners to resume play as soon as it is safe to do so. The health and safety of Minor League Baseball fans, players and executives is our top priority, and our thoughts are with those around the world who have been affected by this outbreak.”

The delayed start of the 2020 season will impact our first road trip and may very well affect our currently scheduled Opening Night of Thursday, April 16. We will provide additional details regarding any adjustments to our schedule as soon as more details become available. As part of our effort to reduce the outbreak, we will reschedule our ticket pick-up party that was scheduled for next Friday, March 20. We will provide details in a subsequent email regarding that event.

Our priority right now is everyone’s health and well-being. We look forward to the day in the near future when we can all join together in saying, “Play Ball”!  Please feel free to reply to this email, or to reach out to me at my direct line 336-714-6867 with any questions.

Thank you for your continued support. Go Dash!
